Printer Engineer- Technical Support
Location: Crewe/ Winsford
Type: Full Time/ Permanent/ 40 hours per week
Salary: 25k

Summary of Role:
We are looking for an experienced and knowledgeable printer engineer to join our busy and expanding team. A real ‘can do’ people person. This interesting role is made up of two parts:

60% of your time will be spent delivering fantastic technical support to customers via telephone, email and live chat. This is where your customer service experience will come into play as we aim to always deliver a 5- star service. You will be advising customers who are experiencing higher level printer issues so you will need a good level of patience, be a strong communicator and have excellent listening skills as well as a solid understanding of household and office printer engineering.

For the other 40% of this role, you will work in a dedicated workshop, diagnosing printer malfunctions and carrying out repairs. For this element of the role you will need to be technically experienced, highly organised, work to health and safety guidelines and able to prioritise workload to successfully guarantee the availability of stock.

Main Duties and Responsibilities as Customer Service Technical Support:

• Provide an amazing customer service experience for customers. Delight customers by going the extra mile
• Manage all higher- level technical support customer queries
• Listen carefully to customers, diagnose printer faults and advise on the best course of action
• Deliver a prompt and efficient service to all enquiries received via telephone, email and live chat
• Communicate step by step solutions to customers without using overly technical language or jargon
• Log and keep accurate records of customer communications
• Provide support and training to the customer service team on managing basic printer malfunctions
as Printer Engineer:
• Quickly and accurately diagnose printer malfunctions
• Complete repairs and refurbishments in line with manufacturing instructions and health and safety guidelines
• Plan and prioritise workload to meet customer demand
• Communicate expected stock availability to management and customer service team
• Maintain workshop and tools in line with health and safety guidelines

Skills Required:

• Field experience as a printer engineer or similar
• In depth knowledge of home and office printers and accessories
• Able to repair and refurbish home and office printers
• A genuine passion and interest for Customer Service- a real ‘people person’
• Naturally positive communicator- both written and verbal
• Excellent attention to detail
• Attentive listening skills
• Ability to multitask
• Good excel skills
• IT competent
• Team player with a positive attitude
