Our role in the West Midlands has never been more important and in these extraordinary times we’ve shown we can step forward, speak up for our region, and bring people together. We’re now using this experience to deliver radical transformation for our organisation and the people we serve. As Change Partner you will support us on this journey by reviewing our services, and the way we work, to become an organisation underpinned by a clear structure, efficient and streamlined business processes, and an agile, high-performing workforce.

Our Reset: Rebuild programme for transforming our organisation will see us build on our strengths and bring focus to everything we do – creating an organisation that’s more effective, sustainable, and better placed for the opportunities and challenges ahead.

As the Change Partner, you will play a key role in ensuring change initiatives meet objectives on time and on budget. This will involve implementation of changes to business processes, systems and technology, job and organisation design, increasing employee adoption and usage. This is an agile role that responds to organisational needs effectively and adapts to current and future business requirements. You’ll work to enable adoption of organisational changes, partnering with all levels of the organisation as necessary to ensure change initiatives are embedded effectively. The overall aim of change initiatives will be to ensure organisational efficiencies with a measurable return on investment (ROI) and achieving results and outcomes as agreed in change plans, and in support of WMCAs strategic goals.

This is a fixed-term role until the end of 2021 and our preference is that you will be able to start immediately following a shortlisting and selection process.

Who we need

You will have previous change, process improvement, and operating model planning experience and be comfortable in a fast-paced, demanding role. Liaising with people at all levels in the business you will support line managers to achieve high-performance outcomes and to embed our values and behaviours in all our activities and processes. You’ll have experience of facilitating groups to achieve process improvement, cultural change, and agile working practices and have knowledge and understanding of change management best practice.

Your skills will include being able to prioritise and manage workloads effectively and have good communication and influencing skills. You are creative and innovative and have a productive and constructive approach.

Additional information

Throughout lockdown, most of us have been working remotely and as we begin to look forward to leading a more normal life, we’re planning a new approach to the way we use our office space. We want to develop a flexible approach to the workplace which retains some of the benefits of working from home. This hybrid approach will mean most of us working from home some of the time, blending the best of home and office working.

We are committed to developing an organisation that is representative of the diverse communities that we serve and welcome applications from all sections of the community. The following groups are currently underrepresented: young people, Black, Asian, and ethnic minority groups, and women at senior levels.

We are a Disability Confident Employer and offer a guaranteed interview scheme for applicants who meet the essential job role criteria. We will make reasonable adjustments, in line with the Equality Act, for disabled applicants if these are needed. Wherever possible we will offer flexible working options which assist work-life balance.

We’re dedicated to providing a broad range of rewards and benefits and constantly benchmark our benefits packages to ensure they are attractive for all our people. As well as a competitive salary, employees also receive 27 days annual leave (plus bank holidays) and access to a great pension scheme.
