We have an exciting opportunity for an IT Assistant to join our IT team, with a key focus on day-to-day Desktop Support of our onsite systems and users. You will also be involved in our ongoing projects and engage with third party suppliers to ensure that our systems run smoothly and efficiently.

You will bring confidence and clarity to the role and will demonstrate excellent communication skills when dealing with your colleagues.

Salary: from £20,604 to £23,059 (pro-rata) per annum, plus excellent holidays and contributory pension scheme
Part-Time – Approximately 18.5 hours per week (Some weekend and evening work will be required from time to time)

Working Location: Warwick SU, Coventry, West Midlands, UK (please note there may be working from home requirements due to current UK government guidelines)

What’s the job?

Reporting to the IT Systems and Information Security Manager, this role will need experience of:

• 1st line Desktop support to users
• Windows 10 Enterprise and Professional
• Microsoft 365 management and administration
• Microsoft 365 applications
• Windows Server 2008, 2012, 2016 and 2019
• Virtual Machine Manager 2012
• Hyper-V Manager
• Group Policy Administration
• Data protection implementation
• Virtual server environments
• Microsoft Office 2016
• Anti Malware software administration and incident handling.
• Hardware troubleshooting on desktop and laptop systems.

You may be asked to work outside of normal hours from time to time (including weekends) with prior notice.

Who you are:

You’ll be an enthusiastic and determined person with a pragmatic approach to work in this dynamic and varied role. Your strengths will be your ability to communicate effectively to different audiences,

along with your professional discipline, flexibility, and excellent organisational skills. You will have experience of working in a team environment and influencing others.

It’s essential that you hold experience of Microsoft platforms and products and ideally will have some certification from Microsoft. You will have plenty of experience of IT systems documentation and be able to translate the technical detail into plain language when writing user guides. Your attention to detail will be second to none.
