Meeting and Events Co-Ordinator

The Bromley Court Hotel is seeking a full-time Meeting and Events Co-Ordinator, for maternity cover. The hotel has 117 bedrooms, a magnificent Garden Restaurant as well fantastic event space offering 9 contemporary designed meeting and banqueting rooms which provide the flexibility for weddings, large and small celebrations, formal meetings, training courses, private dinners, and all social events.

This fantastic opportunity would suit someone who thrives in a busy environment and is extremely well organised with an eye for detail.

The main purpose of the role:
• Take event enquiries and put together a creative and informative proposal that suits the clients’ requirements.
• Maximise sales by the professional handling of incoming enquiries.
• Convert incoming enquiries to definite bookings.
• Be responsible for all areas of the clients’ journey from proposals, show-rounds and contracts to welcoming on the day and following up after events.
• Prepare accurate function sheets and ensure a comprehensive handover to the Operations Teams.
• Build strong relationships with clients to promote repeat business.

The ideal candidate:
• Has at least 1-year experience in a similar Meeting & Events Coordinator role in a 4-star hotel or venue.
• Is passionate about offering the highest level of customer service.
• Is commercially focused with a track record of achieving results.
• Has excellent communication skills and can liaise with clients and colleagues at all levels.
• Has excellent command of the English language using appropriate writing techniques for correspondence with correct grammar and punctuation.
• Have excellent presentation skills and impeccable grooming standards.
• Deal with all M&E, Reservations and events enquires by email, phone or a walk-in enquiry
• Ensure the function sheets are distributed to the relevant departments in a timely manner.
• Daily Meeting & Events billing, investigating/resolving billing queries quickly and efficiently.
• Use initiative to make decisions in pressured situations and have GREAT attention to detail.
• Have confidence and a calm attitude to deal with any problems which may arise.
